How Our Calendar Of Events Gets Made

The activities on our calendar are chosen by our Scouts during our annual planning meeting.  The September Patrol Leaders' Council meeting is devoted to creating the next-year's calendar.

Before this PLC meeting each Patrol Leader is charged with finding out what the members of his patrol want to do next year.  When he attends the September PLC meeting he presents his patrol's wish list. After each Patrol Leader has put his ideas on the table the entire PLC decides which activity to place in which month.  This is how new activites get put on our calendar, and why favorite activities remain from year to year.
